RC Lens celebrate an important 2-1 home win over Olympique Marseille on matchday 34 of French Ligue 1.
The squad around ÖFB team player Kevin Danso prevailed in a direct duel for second place in front of their home crowd and is once more the first pursuer of leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
Lens is initially lucky when the supposed Marseille opening goal is not given by Alexis Sanchez. A few minutes later, Seko Fofana hits the post for Lens.

Shortly before the break, however, Fofana scores: Danso gets the ball to the captain, who nets from a distance to make it 1-0 (42′).
After an hour, Lens added the second goal. This time it’s goalgetter Lois Openda, who heads in (60′). Dimitri Payet shortened once more shortly before the end of the game (88th), but that doesn’t change anything in Lens’ victory.
RC Lens are now second with 72 points, with Marseille slipping to third with 70 points. PSG (one game down) is on top with 75 points.
