Kenneth Taylor, of all people, shot Ajax to the eighth finals of the Conference League in extra time of the away match with Bodø/Glimt (1-2). The midfielder, vilified by the Amsterdam public in recent weeks, is honest enough to admit that he wanted to give a cross. But to his delight the ball sails into the corner of the goal.
“If the ball goes into the goal, the ball goes into the goal,” the midfielder laughed at a press conference following the match. “But it was indeed just a cross. It was a very difficult match, but in the end it’s regarding continuing. We succeeded.”
