Ready to mow for the beginning of March, Have a Nice Death shows itself via 15 minutes of gameplay

My disastrous enterprise knows no crisis

Little indie sensation at the Game Awards 2021, Have a Nice Death developed by the French Magic Design Studios will come out in early access on Steam from March 8. The first 15 minutes of gameplay are to be discovered now at IGN.

The player embodies neither more nor less than The death herself, patroness of Death Incorporated. While there’s clearly no shortage of work to be done, the company’s well-oiled procedures are turned upside down by a strange evil, and beat up some employees from various departments will not be too much to put them back on the straight path to productivity.

We could be exasperated that Have a Nice Death be an umpteenth Rogue-lite en side-scrolling 2 and whose artistic style is clearly reminiscent of Hollow Knight, but the supposed nervousness of the gameplay and animation quality have something to make players sensitive to this kind of indie games.

Like all good rogue-lite self-respecting, the levels are generated procedurally, but like a Hades, Have a Nice Death should also offer engaging storytelling thanks to a humor that we hope will be very frank. The intricacies of the title also lie in playstyle building within a run, since some development choices will also modify enemies and other mechanics, which should tend to increase the difficulty.
