After a forced hiatus for months, the real estate departments of the Ministry of Finance returned to work with momentum in the departments that did not witness prosecutions against their employees on charges of corruption and bribery.
And an official source in the Ministry of Finance explains, that “work has returned to normal in all departments, except for the departments of Mount Lebanon, in which a large number of employees were arrested, and some of them continue to be arrested.”
He points out that “the Minister of Finance has appointed trustees of the real estate registry instead of those arrested so that they can run the work in those departments, and they are conducting a study on the employees who were arrested, and they have the right to return to work in the real estate registry in those departments.”
It is expected that “works in these suspended departments will start within a week or ten days after the registrars are able to gather the employees who are able to work, and it is not excluded that the use of employees from other departments is sought if the need arises.”
The source indicates that work will start with the stopped files before starting work with the new files.
