Real Madrid and FC Barcelona will take their rivalry to New Jersey

MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will be the scene of a new clash between the two most important teams in Spanish soccer.

Real Madrid and Barcelona will face each other on August 3 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, a venue with capacity for 82,500 spectators that will host the Copa América and the 2026 World Cup final, on the occasion of the Soccer Champions Toura common competition in the preseason in recent years.

The ‘Clásico’ was already played last summer on American soil, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington (Texas), which ended with a resounding 0-3 in favor of Barcelona with goals from Dembelé, Fermín and Ferran Torres.

In 2022, the Blaugranas also won by beating Real Madrid 0-1 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas thanks to a goal from Raphinha.

The tournament, in which Milan, Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Madrid will participatewill feature six games in six different stadiums spread across the United States.

The Barça team will debut on July 30 against Manchester City at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando (Florida), and a day later, Madrid will face Milan at the Soldier Field Stadium (Chicago).

After the Classic, on August 6, the ‘culés’ will meet Milan at the M&T Stadium in Baltimore (Maryland) and the meringues will face Chelsea at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte (North Carolina).

The competition begins with Manchester City-Milan on July 27 at the Yankee Stadium in New York, the only match without Spanish teams and tickets will go on sale from March 27.
