Real Sociedad and Cadiz neutralize each other

Real Sociedad, on the last step of the podium, were host to Andalusian side Cadiz, 16th but only three points clear of the relegation zone. The two teams finally left with a draw and parity (0-0). The Basques offered themselves the best opportunities of the meeting, with Carlos Fernandez whose strike did not pass far from the post of Ledesma (45th) or even the suspicion of penalty, finally not whistled (57th). Cadiz eventually held off once morest the hosts to clinch the point for the draw. With 44 points on the clock, Real Sociedad remain third in La Liga but might drop one place if Atlético de Madrid win once morest Sevilla tomorrow night. For its part, Cadiz goes back to 14th position in the Spanish championship with 16 units and gains two places, but does not move away from the relegation zone.
