For this match at the top of LaLiga, we might have hoped for a slightly more exciting result. The Real missed the opportunity, moreover, to pass Betis in the standings following their draw on Friday evening.

No goals, not really chances either (9 shots everywhere, including 2 on target on each side). The rise ofAdnan Januzaj at the 65th instead of Rafinha also did not allow Real Sociedad to gain the upper hand over their evening opponent.

Tempers flared at the end of the match, with 4 yellow cards and a red card (for David Silva) brandished in 2 minutes.

After two consecutive victories in the Spanish league, Real Sociedad is stuck and is 6th – synonymous only with the Conference League next year, 2 points behind a Betis that has virtually qualified for the Europa League.
