2023-06-09 21:08:50

Once the goods arrive at the port, the transit countries have the same information in real time and can therefore follow the cargo, also in real time. The courier then sees the customs clearance formalities facilitated in the country of consumption.

At the same time, the system makes it possible to fight once morest smuggling and to secure customs revenue, but also to exchange data between the various national administrations.

Initiated in 2019 by Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger and Togo, the system was joined this week by four other ECOWAS countries: Mali, Senegal, Ghana and Guinea.
