Defense Minister Lee Jong-seop, who is attending the 20th Asian Security Conference, announced that South Korea, the US and Japan have reached an agreement to share information on North Korean missile warnings in real time within this year.

In a meeting with reporters after the meeting of the defense ministers of South Korea, the US and Japan this morning, Minister Lee said about the real-time sharing of North Korean missile warning information, ″We will link the information sharing systems currently in operation between Korea and the US and between the US and Japan.″ said.

He explained that through this, real-time sharing of North Korean missile warning information was ″determined to be possible within this year″ and ″working-level consultations for this will be started as soon as possible″.

Minister Lee also added, “We decided to further raise the level of security cooperation among the three countries while actively implementing the agreements between the leaders of the United States, South Korea and Japan.”
