The realme C53, a basic cell phone from the Chinese manufacturer, had its launch confirmed in Brazil. In a publication on Twitter, the company revealed that it will expand its national portfolio with the arrival of the new cost-effective model, which debuted last June with a suggested price of around R$ 620 in Malaysia.
The cell phone is equipped with a 6.74-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) and support for 90Hz refresh rate. The display features a drop-shaped notch to house an 8 MP front camera and the “Mini Capsule”, a feature similar to the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

At the rear, the set of cameras may refer to Apple cell phones with their “cooktop” design, but there are only two photographic units in this block. We are talking about a main lens with a 50 MP sensor and a 0.3 MP depth sensor.
Powered by the Unisoc Tiger T612, an entry-level platform manufactured using a 12-nanometer process, the realme C53 features an 8-core CPU running at up to 1.8GHz and a Mali-G57 GPU. The mobile is sold in only one overseas memory configuration that combines 6GB of LPDRR4X RAM with 128GB of internal storage.
To power this hardware, the realme C53 is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC charging support. Other specs include support for dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, P2-standard headphone jack, and a fingerprint reader on the side.

The model will come out of the box running Android 13, but the brand’s software update policy for the cell phone is yet to be determined. The suggested price and launch date were not disclosed, but these details may be revealed in the coming days.
