16 executives have resigned from Chinese handset maker Realme India in recent months. According to the Economic Times report, so many people left the company to join the company that is bringing back the ‘Honor’ brand in India. Earlier Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth also resigned. There were also reports that he left to take charge of Honor.

But now Realme is facing mass resignation in India and many employees including top directors have joined ‘Honor Tech’ after Madhav Sheth, according to the report citing close sources. It is suggested that Madhav Sheth has taken senior employees who are dear to him to Realme.

Dipesh Punamia, who was in charge of Realme’s offline sales, has now become Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Honor Tech. Sanjeev Kumar, who was in charge of online sales at Realme, has also taken up the top post in the company, reports IANS quoting supply sources.

Madhav Sheth stepped down after five years of making Realme the leading brand in India. He later joined rival brand Honor, which was relaunching its operations in India under his leadership. Honor is present in the Indian market through its partner PSAV Global. They are already launching tablets, wearables and laptops in the country under the Honor brand.

Meanwhile, after Madhav Sheth’s exit, Realme India has reportedly undergone a major shake-up, led by executives from the company’s home turf, China.
