Mumbai: Under the leadership of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, dissident MLAs came to meet NCP President Sharad Pawar. Mumbai’s Y.B. The meeting at the Chavan Center lasted for an hour. They are seeing each other for the first time after the split. Praful Patel, Dilip Valse Patil, Hasan Mush Rif, Chhagan Bhujabal, Dhananjay Munde, Athi Thackeray and Deputy Speaker Narahari Sirwal came to the NCP office along with Ajit Pawar. Supriya Sule, Jayant Patil and Jitendra Ouhad from Sharad Pawar’s side were also concerned.
Praful Patel responded that knowing that Sharad Pawar was there, they came without seeking permission and sought his blessings. Sharad Pawar asked NCP to stand together. However, he did not respond to that. Praful Patel added that he just listened to everything we said.
On July 2, the rebel MLAs under the leadership of Ajit Pawar joined the BJP alliance. Ajit Pawar was given the post of Deputy Chief Minister and eight MLAs including Praful Patel were given ministerial posts. The meeting with Sharad Pawar comes as the first assembly session begins on Monday after a section of the NCP led by Ajit Pawar defected to the BJP.
