Several energy drinks, including the popular high-caffeine Prime favored by influencers, are being recalled in Canada.

Health Canada advises that the “affected products are being recalled due to various non-compliances related to caffeine content and labeling requirements”.

The affected products are sold across the country and on the web.

All flavors that contain caffeine and do not have bilingual English and French labeling.

The targeted energy drinks are:

– Prime «Energy Drink»

– 3 D Alphaland «Energy Drink»

– 5 Hour « 5 Hour Energy »

– Celsius « Energy Drink »

– GFuel « GFuel Energy Drink »

– Sting due to Vietnamese characters only

Here is the advice offered on the Government of Canada website regarding these energy drinks:

If you think you have been ill after consuming a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider.

Check to see if you have any recalled products.

Do not consume, use, sell, serve or distribute recalled products.

Recalled products should be discarded or returned to where they were purchased.

If you learn that recalled products are being sold, you can report it to theACIA.

If you buy groceries online, do not assume that products meet Canadian requirements.
