Receipt in overtime by Thern when Värnamo saved points against Djurgården

It looked dark for a long time for Värnamo in the meeting with Djurgården, who led 0-1 at the end of the match in the Allsvenskan at Finnvedsvallen. But in overtime, Simon Thern struck and saved a point for Värnamo. It was a draw, 1-1 (0-0), in the match on Sunday.

It took some time before the first goal came. First, with nine minutes left to play, it was 1-0 to Djurgården, through Deniz Hümmet played by Gustav Wikheim.

The vindication came in added time, when Simon Thern struck and scored for Värnamo. That settled the final score at 1-1.

Värnamo has one win, two draws and two losses and 5-6 in goal difference in the last five games, while Djurgården has two wins, two draws and one loss and 6-7 in goal difference. This was Värnamo’s seventh draw this season.

The result means that both teams have an unchanged position in the table, Värnamo in twelfth place and Djurgården in second place.

On Sunday 6 October, Värnamo plays away against Malmö FF at 16.30 and Djurgården against Kalmar at home at 14.00 at Tele2 Arena.
