Friday, around 3 p.m., the police were called in for an attack that occurred at the Guillemins station in Liège. An individual, visibly under the influence of ecstasy, had just struck an SNCB agent several times. He was arrested at the scene and then deprived of his liberty.
Upon examining his case more closely, it quickly became apparent that the suspect had just been convicted by the Brussels criminal court in connection with drug trafficking.
Saturday morning, following spending the night in a cell, the individual was referred to the Liège public prosecutor’s office where the magistrate on duty put the case under investigation with a request for an arrest warrant.
As for the injured SNCB agent, he is unable to work for a few days.
