Two young people, aged 26 and 23, have been charged by the Civil Guard with a crime against road safety for doing push-ups and sit-ups in cars and motorcycles while driving, this in Sant Esteve de Palautordera (Barcelona)
The Civil Guard has reported this Saturday that a citizen anonymously reported on the force’s website a video posted on social networks such as TikTok and Instagram in which reckless actions by young people in moving vehicles were seen.
The agents verified that in one of the videos a person was seen doing push-ups and sit-ups on the rear hood of a car when the vehicle was traveling on a conventional road.
In another video, a person perched on the trunk of a moving vehicle hangs his legs outward through the spoiler and then performs a scene while being recorded from another vehicle.
The Civil Guard also located another video in which the driver of a motorcycle, when other vehicles are traveling in the opposite direction, performs sit-ups with his hands stretched between the gas tank and the bottom of the handlebars.
The videos were recorded, according to the Civil Guard, when the vehicles were traveling on the BV-5119 highway at kilometer point 6.9, as they passed through the area called Costa del Montseny, and along the BV-5301, known as the Shelters, at kilometer 7.
After identifying the alleged perpetrators of these crimes against road safety, the Civil Guard took their statements.
