Watches did not experience the crisis, both the figures for Swiss watch exports and those for world auctions broke records. Thus, at the end of this first half of 2022, sales made worldwide by the five main auction houses, Antiquorum, Bonhams, Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips (in association with Bacs & Russo) reached a value of 379 million Swiss francs according to the report by The Mercury Project, a data-driven consultancy specializing in the watch and jewelry retail sector.
