Red Bull BC One, regarded as the “Super Cup” of the break dance industry, held the Taiwan Competition at CORNER MAX in Taipei this afternoon (13th). More than 500 spectators witnessed the event, and the final contestant was B-Girl Jia Li (Yang Jiali). After completing his second consecutive championship, B-Boy Jasper (Wu Dingjie), who is only 17 years old, became the youngest Red Bull BC One champion in Taiwan’s history. The two winners today will represent Taiwan and go to Brazil to compete for the final spot in the Red Bull BC One World Finals to be held in Rio de Janeiro on December 7.
B-Girl Jia Li (Yang Jiali), the women’s champion of last year’s Taiwan competition, won the favor of the judges from the top 8 onwards. In the B-Girl semi-finals, B-Girl Jia Li defeated last year’s Red Bull BC One runner-up B-Girl Sophia (Xu Fuya) and successfully advanced to the finals. In the championship match, Jiali faced off against B-Girl Stitch from Gearz Crew who was participating in the Red Bull BC One Taiwan competition for the fourth time. After the two fought with all their strength for three rounds, B-Girl Jia Li won the favor of the judges with her smoothness, floor moves and diverse changes in musical interpretation, and won the Red Bull BC One B-Girl championship for the second consecutive time.

Today I just tried my best to show my condition and compete with different players. Today is It’s an important milestone. The B-Boy final was a strong showdown. B-Boy Ironchair (Tian Jiayu) had great energy all the way and showed wonderful floor moves in the first round. Regarding his second challenge to Red Bull BC One, B-Boy Jasper (Wu Dingjie) got a ticket to the international arena. He said, “The World Final of Red Bull BC One has always been my dream stage. I hope to go to Brazil to win glory for Taiwan. . Thanks to my family and teachers, I am really lucky. In the past 7 or 8 years, besides self-study, I have been training hard, and my hard work has paid off.”

The Red Bull BC One Taiwan competition jury includes three-time Red Bull BC One world champion and B-Boy Hong10 (Kim Hong-yeol) who has been in the dance industry for more than 20 years. He flew to Taiwan specially to serve as a judge. He said, “You can win at Red Bull BC One.” The key is to maintain a positive belief,” and then encouraged the young players, “You must continue to train. B-Boy Quake (Sun Zhen), who has always regarded Red Bull BC One as his dream stage, shared, “This stage is the only stage where you can prove yourself. Players from any country will want to do it as long as they get to this stage. The best.” As for the difference between sports events, Sun Zhen believes that Red Bull BC One is about fighting for himself, while sports events are about bringing glory to the country.
Red Bull BC One, which has been held since 2004, has attracted tens of thousands of breakdancers from all over the world, becoming the highest palace of B-Boy and B-Girl.
