SALZBURG, Austria – Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe, one of the world’s premier professional cycling teams, announced today the launch of its “rising challenge,” a global initiative aimed at discovering and developing the next generation of elite road cyclists. The program, formerly known as red Bull Junior Brothers, represents “an evolved approach to scouting, testing and developing young talent globally,” according to a team statement.The Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe Rising program seeks to identify promising young athletes aged 15-19 from around the world, nonetheless of their current cycling experience.The team emphasizes that athletes from other sports “with the fitness, drive, and potential to make it in cycling” are also encouraged to apply.
