When looking at the trio, the first thing that stands out is the new design, adopting a more square style and rectangular camera module, moving away from the traditional visual language of the line.
On screen, the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro hit the market with TCL’s new C8 OLED display with 2K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, maximum brightness of 4,000 nits, 3,840 Hz PWM, support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision and 12-bit color depth, in addition to a centralized hole-punch camera and fingerprint reader.
The Redmi K70e brings some “cuts” to the OLED display, such as the maximum brightness reduced to 1,800 nits and 1.5K resolution and 1,920 Hz PWM, while maintaining the 120 Hz refresh rate and 12-bit color depth.
Under the hood, the Redmi K70 Pro hits the market with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform, while Redmi K70 comes equipped with last year’s SoC, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. While both opt for Qualcomm’s solution, the Redmi K70e adopts the chipset Dimensity 8300 Ultra from MediaTek.
In RAM memory, the Redmi K70 is the only one of the trio with an option with 24 GB of RAM, while the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70e have variants with up to 16 GB of RAM. In internal storage, they all start at 256 GB and go up to 1 TB.
For power, the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 feature a 5,000 mAh battery unit and 120W fast charging support. The Redmi K70e has a larger unit with 5,500 mAh, but charging is reduced to 90W.
In the operating system, the trio comes standard with Android 14 under the HyperOS interface. In terms of connectivity, they have a USB-C port, NFC, infrared, Bluetooth 5.4, stereo speakers and an X-axis linear motor.
In the photographic set, the trio shares the same 16 megapixel front sensor, but there are differences in the triple camera module located at the rear. To begin with, the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro feature a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, while the Redmi K70e has a 64-megapixel sensor.
Among the trio, the Redmi K70 Pro is the only one with a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, while the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70e feature an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and another 2 megapixel macro.
