The man was walking. When the 80-year-old walked from the old sports field towards the town center at around 11:20 a.m., he was hit by a minibus and fell.
A 44-year-old from Mühlviertler drove the bus. He was on the way to the old sports field on the Badsteig municipal road. Because a car was coming towards him, the 44-year-old had to stop the bus and roll back a bit. At the same time, the elderly pedestrian passed the roadside. The collision resulted in the 80-year-old falling. The rescue brought the injured to the hospital in Freistadt.
