2023-05-26 14:09:38

The national government through the Ministry of Health updated the recommendations to apply covid vaccine boosters. The main change is the modification of the intervals to give new doses.

In a joint decision with the Ministers of Health of the 24 jurisdictions of the country, they communicated the following changes. For risk groups such as over 50 years of age, immunocompromised patients and pregnant women, the booster should be applied 6 months following the last dose.

This recommendation is independent of the number of doses the person has taken. For people without risk factors, an annual booster dose is recommended.

From the Ministry of Health of the Nation they once more recommend applying booster doses to prevent complications If there are coronavirus infections. The concern of the health portfolio is because It is estimated that there are more than 9 million people over the age of 50 who have not yet received a booster in the last 6 months.
