Fifteen years ago, the French watch brand MATWatches was born, which was to specialize in extremely solid and resistant watches. Timepieces that were originally intended for the armed forces and special forces.
Since then, the watchmaker has greatly broadened the spectrum of its collections and, from martial, they have become rather sporty and outdoor. There are still chronos and divers, but also, in recent years, GMTs and three-hand watches that are easier to wear on a daily basis.
But there is a model imagined in 2009 which founded the origins of the brand: the Timer OPS. A chronograph that has built MATWatches legitimacy in making rugged watches. Proven by the military, it was also adopted by the general public for its resistance, but also for its very pure and refined design which is in line with the Porsche Design or Sinn trend, to name but two.
