“Relax and do not interfere with the Universe”: a psychologist explained why our dreams do not come true

Example #1

When I work with clients, I often ask them this question:

– Imagine that now everything is under your control, all the ways and possibilities are open, what would you like to receive?

– Well … money …, – the man says after thinking.

I open my wallet and hold out a 2-ruble coin.

– Take it, are you happy now?

– No, what are you, I want a lot of money!

That is, when dreaming about money, a person has not decided on their amount, and the concept of “a lot” does not exist for the Universe.

Example #2

Recently, at a city holiday, a stand was installed where everyone could write their wish. I read: “New car.”

Which? Who? I understand that the author of the message has thought of a new car for himself, but in this form his wish will never come true. More precisely, it will be fulfilled, but not necessarily the way he wanted it: new car produced by a well-known automobile concern, new car fell off a cliff, a neighbor bought new carwife saw in a dream new car and so on.
