London: Relaxed dress code for women players in Wimbledon tennis. The measure aims to ease the anxiety of playing during menstruation. The All England Club has announced that dark colored underwear will be allowed from next year’s tournament. There was a demand to waive the traditional rule that all players should wear white.
Wimbledon chief executive Sally Bolton said: “We are committed to supporting players and listening to their feedback. They also hope that this will help them focus fully on their performance. Women’s football teams, including Manchester City, have given up playing in white shorts.
