Reliance Industries Partners with Brookfield and Digital Realty to Launch ‘Digital Connection’: India’s Premier Data Center Network

Kochi: Reliance Industries Limited has entered into agreements to set up data centers in the country. Reliance will invest in SPVs for data centers in India along with Brookfield Infrastructure and Digital Realty. Reliance will hold 33.33% stake and be an equal partner in each of the Indian SPVs. The venture is titled ‘Digital Connection: A Brookfield, Jio and Digital Reality Company’.

Digital Reality is the largest provider of cloud, carrier-neutral data center, colocation and interconnection solutions globally. It has 300+ data centers in 27 countries. Brookfield Infrastructure is one of the largest infrastructure investors internationally. Digital Reality has a joint venture with Brookfield Infrastructure. The partnership will enable Reliance to develop high quality data centers to meet the critical infrastructure needs of enterprises and digital services companies in India.

The initiative aims to develop world-class data centers at multiple locations in India. Set up data centers in Chennai and Mumbai in the first phase.
