Senegal already qualified, it only needed a draw to secure first place once morest Guinea. In Yamoussoukro, the Lions did much better, they won 2-0, relegating Guinea to third place which becomes a qualifier since the national Sily has four points in total.

In this West African derby in this group C, the SenegalAfrican champion, beat the Guinea who dreamed of an exploit in front of the reigning champion. Sadio Mané’s teammates therefore finish 1st in the group with nine points and a clear round, while the Guineas, with four points, obtain a qualifying place as best third.
