Neeraj Pandey’s MS Dhoni The Untold Story, starring the late Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role, will re-release in theaters this month.
The biopic of one of the most famous cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni directed by Neeraj Pandey was first released in 2016. The film will release on 12th of this month in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. The film was one of the biggest hits of the year it released.
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is an important film not only for Star Studios but also for Indians around the world. The point is that this is the story of our cricket captain. The aim of the re-release is to give Dhoni’s fans a chance to relive the magical moments of cricket,” said Bikram Duggal, Head of Disney Star Studios.
The biopic turned out to be one of the biggest hits of Sushant’s career. Sushant died on June 14, 2020. The actor was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai. Director Neeraj Pandey had said that Dhoni was shocked to hear the news of Sushant’s death.
Apart from Sushant, the film also stars Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, Anupam Kher and Bhumika Chawla in lead roles.
