Hockey is a family affair with the Pitlicks. Rem is the brother of Rhett, selected by the Habs in the fifth round of the 2019 National Hockey League (NHL) Draft. The father of the siblings, Lance, played 393 games on the circuit with the Ottawa Senators and the Florida Panthers between 1994 and 2002.

Rem, for his part, is still in his early days in the NHL. He had his first good times this season with the Minnesota Wild, totaling six goals and 11 points in 20 games.

Previously, he was limited to two assists in 11 games over two seasons with the Nashville Predators. The Ottawa native was selected in the third round of the 2016 draft by the Tennessee roster.

Pitlick also did well in the American League in 2020-21, hitting the target eight times in as many games in the Chicago Wolves uniform.

The newcomer is on a one-season contract valued at $ 917,831. This is a two-pronged agreement.

The Canadian will resume action on Wednesday evening in Boston after a long 11-day break due in particular to an outbreak of COVID-19, but also to a series of postponements caused by the health constraints in place in Quebec and preventing the opening of the stands. during the events.
