“Ikram would have loved this party”
The teenager therefore organized a party this Tuesday, in the company of the family of Ikram, to celebrate this symbolic date. “Not to be sad but to celebrate Ikram,” she insists. The date was eagerly awaited by Ikram who had a lot of projects in his head. “She was always cheerful and enthusiastic. She wanted to have her own house and was preparing for exams for her driver’s license, ”explained her grandmother.
“It is difficult to sum up what Ikram was because she had so many qualities (…) Ikram was a very lively person. So I wanted to celebrate her 18th birthday in the same way, ”adds her best friend who brought together the young woman’s relatives in a symbolic place: the village youth center. “We had some great times there that I won’t soon forget. »
A party that lived up to Maaike’s expectations. Balloons, golden garlands, Ikram’s favorite songs, family, friends… The most moving moment of the evening remains the release of balloons with glow sticks. “Everything was illuminated to make the evening magical and unforgettable. Ikram would have loved this party,” concludes the best friend.
