Joseph William Saladin Jr. of North Salem, NY, passed away peacefully Friday October 6, 2023, in Somers, NY, at the age of 64.
Joseph was born October 4, 1959, in Mount Kisco, NY, beloved son of the late Joseph Saladin Sr. and Jean (Juengst) Saladin.
For a major part of his life, Joe built his career as a plumber and loved it; “Joe the Plumber.” He is originally from Croton Falls. He moved to South Carolina for many years and returned to North Salem about 11 years ago. Joe enjoyed working at New York Plumbing Supply for many years. He then joined the work team at Lowes in Danbury where he made many friends and used his expertise in the plumbing and building departments and took pleasure in helping his customers. Recently Joe worked at N & S Supply in a fun and supportive work environment.
Joe loved music, a good joke and laughing. He was a talented builder of bird feeders and loved bird watching. He took pride in all wood working projects; creating, fixing and building anything for anyone. He relished in designing and completing projects around the house to surprise Naura. He loved making her smile! Joe is the definition of a loving friend and companion indeed. May we never forget the good memories we all have and cherish.
He is survived by significant other Naura Slivinsky, his son Joseph William Saladin III of South Carolina, his brothers; Don and his wife Nancy Saladin of Florida, Phil Saladin and his significant other Carrie Newton Hurd of South Carolina; Grandchildren; Jonah Mathis Saladin, Lilly Grace Saladin, Micah Nathaniel Saladin, and Adeline Rose Saladin; of South Carolina; Nieces; Dawn Gonnella (Saladin) of Beacon NY and Dana DaCunha (Saladin) of Sherman Connecticut ; Myranda Saladin, Nephew Drew Saladin. And last but not least; Aunt Sara Covin Juengst and late Uncle Dan all of South Carolina. He was pre-deceased by his late brother Michael Saladin.
A Celebration of Life and Memories will take place on November 4, 2023, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Bloomerside Pavilion at 101 Bloomerside Road, North Salem NY.
