For her part, Kuwaiti journalist Mai Al-Eidan was the first to announce Jawaher’s death via a post on “Instagram,” as she published her last photo from the hospital, along with an old photo of herself, and wrote: “We belong to God and to Him we shall return. The Kuwaiti artist Jawaher has passed away to God’s mercy.” Her real name is Manal Al-Musfer, at the age of 45, after a bitter struggle with stomach cancer.
She added: “The deceased began her journey in treatment for cancer 4 years ago in London without obtaining a result, then returned to Kuwait and spent approximately a month in one of its hospitals until her death.”
At the end of her post, Mai wished mercy and forgiveness for Jawaher, adding: “Oh God, make her dwell in your spacious paradise, place her in a good place, overlook her, and honor her to look at your face. Pray for her, for supplication is the sustenance of the dead.”
