The SC Abbeville Côte Picarde is like an orphan with the disappearance of one of its former glories.

Malik Fall who wore the Abbeville jersey from 1987 to 1990 during the great epic of the D2, died at the age of 54

The Abbeville club pays tribute to him on its Facebook page by recalling “A real will-o’-the-wisp in the Sporting attack. He played 79 games in the Abbeville jersey, scoring 18 goals.

After Abbeville, he played for the clubs of Angers, Amiens and the Brest stadium. Malick Fall was also a Senegalese international footballer with 12 national caps. He played notably for the Senegal during the African Cup of Nations in 1992 before retiring from sport in 1996.
