American actor Mark Margolis has died at the age of 83, The Hollywood Reporter announced. The artist, famous for his portrayal of “Hector Salamanca” in the acclaimed series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, died Thursday at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City of an aggravated illness, his son, the actor and CEO, confirmed. He was born on November 26, 1939 in Philadelphia, United States, into a Jewish family. Her mother, Fanya, was a decorator who worked for a wallpaper company and did a lot of painting, and her father, Isidore, was a factory worker.
He took his first acting class at age 14, and after a year at Temple University, he moved to New York and studied theater with actress Stella Adler at The Actors Studio, a school where Al Pacino is co-director at the present.
