We learn with great sadness of the unexpected death of our colleague Martial Giot. Having entered office in June 1992, Martial had just celebrated his 60th birthday.
Martial worked alongside us at the Liège editorial office as a field journalist. He was a solid journalist, thoughtful, discreet and very anchored in Liège information. A radio man, he was a well-known voice at Liège Matin and was very fond of reports rich in soundscapes.
This tea drinker was also a great rock enthusiast. When he went on stage, Martial, of a reserved nature, became a different man. A fan of Neil Young or even Tom Waits, he wore T-shirts bearing the image of his favorite bands every day.
His fellow journalists and technicians from the Liège editorial staff are in shock at this news. All our thoughts go out to his partner Françoise and his family.
