The circumstances surrounding the death of the figure skating legend have become known
Two-time Olympic figure skating champion Oleg Protopopov, who skated with Lyudmila Belousova, has died. The athlete died in his sleep in Switzerland in the city of Interlaken, writes RT.
The figure skating star was 91 years old.
During his life, he won four golds at the World and European Championships, three silvers and one bronze at the world championships and four silver medals at the European Championships.
The Russian Olympic Committee expressed condolences to the figure skater’s family.
