The seventh day was the only day with the first interview and pictures of the artist Kariman after an absence and retirement that extended 55 years, during which she revealed many secrets about her career and the reasons for her absence and retirement while she was at the peak of her beauty, youth, and stardom.

The great artist said during her interview with “The Seventh Day”: “I was a little spoiled and worked in art for a while, and then I said, ‘Peace be upon you,’ and I left it after my marriage and the birth of my only son, Sherine. I am now a grandmother and have 4 grandchildren, the eldest of whom is a pharmaceutical doctor, the second is a media graduate, the third is studying at the Naval Academy, and the youngest is Habib.” Everyone is in elementary school, and my son is a businessman and far from the field of art.”

It is noteworthy that the artist Kariman was born in 1936 in Cairo to a father of Lebanese roots and an Egyptian-Turkish mother. She studied at the Lycee and her love for art appeared in childhood, where she worked in children’s programs with Baba Sharo, and she also participated in school theater.

She participated in many films, most notably: “The Charming Mother-in-Law,” “Tamr Henna,” “My Mirror is a General Manager,” “Girls of the Day,” and others. The audience called her the movie cat, but she retired after only 12 years of artistic work.
