Rémi Geffroy: A Musical Journey of Energy and Tenderness

2024-04-04 22:02:20

Rémi Geffroy was nourished from a young age by folk, jazz and rock. At the age of 10, he joined the conservatory with the diatonic accordion, and 4 years later learned the electric bass. It is with this instrument that he will delve into current music and enrich what will be part of all of his influences. He then developed his sounds by learning the piano and the guitar.
Passionate about the worlds of Yann Tiersen, Joe Hisaishi (Spirited Away, etc.), and the Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi, he will gradually give birth to his own style.
For several years, he has accustomed us to albums with a human dimension, his compositions draw us into a permanent current between energy and tenderness. The sequence of pieces is experienced as an initiatory journey, revealing new and sometimes surprising colors at each stage. Because inspiration and poetry inhabit each of his pieces.
Through his very personal and accomplished playing whose unstoppable technique serves an incredible sensitivity of great maturity, he transports us towards a rediscovery of the diatonic to which he brings a new breath.
With his communicative energy and real sincerity, Rémi Geffroy offers us moments of sharing crossing borders in concerts where the public discovers mixed music, a bridge between genres, equally influenced by traditional music, classical and jazz.
At a ball with his solo, or in concert with his duo and his septet, Rémi will take you on a journey for an evening.
