Remove obstacles and speed up the progress of key projects in the health sector

Director of Hanoi Department of Health Tran Thi Nhi Ha said that in order to meet the health care needs of the people, the city strives to achieve the goal of having 30-35 hospital beds per ten thousand people by 2025. Thus, Hanoi needs to add 4,204 hospital beds compared to the minimum number of 30 beds/ten thousand people.

At a meeting with the Hanoi Department of Health on the progress of investment projects to upgrade the health system, in the period of 2022 – 2025 and the following years of Hanoi city on February 15, Vice Chairman Hanoi People’s Committee Le Hong Son proposed the Department of Health, hospitals to coordinate with related units to be more proactive in removing difficulties and obstacles to speed up the implementation of projects. especially key projects such as: Hanoi Children’s Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital 2nd, Kidney Hospital 2… At the same time, it is necessary to improve a number of areas that are the strengths of the affiliated hospitals. Hanoi’s health sector such as cardiovascular, kidney …, thereby building these facilities into medical examination and treatment centers of regional and international level so that people do not have to go abroad for medical treatment.

The Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee suggested that, during the implementation process, the units facing difficulties, especially in the ground clearance stage, should send their petitions directly to the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment. This unit is responsible for synthesizing opinions and sending it to the City People’s Committee for a solution.

According to the report of the Management Board of Civil Engineering Construction Investment Projects of Hanoi City, the total number of projects in the health sector in Resolution No. 37/NQ – People’s Council dated December 10, 2022 is 22 projects. ; in which there are 5 transitional projects in the 2016-2020 period, 7 projects have been approved for investment policies and 10 projects are being prepared and submitted to propose investment policy reports.

However, representatives of the units said that when implementing the above projects, there were some difficulties such as: obstacles in site clearance; implementing the bidding package for the procurement of medical equipment, relocation of medical examination and treatment establishments for upgrading, but still ensuring the maintenance of medical examination and treatment for the people; The organization of the apparatus and personnel when put into operation faced difficulties…
