Renault open to restarting negotiations with Andretti
B. Fanmi, Renault’s head of power unit development, expressed a positive attitude regarding engine supply negotiations with Andretti, who aims to participate in F1 from 2026.
“(The pre-contract we had with Andretti) was completely dependent on Andretti’s availability. If they have had discussions with General Motors, we would be happy to resume those discussions. ”

Andretti has an unofficial contract with General Motors to supply engines starting in 2028. However, he is looking for a customer engine to fill the gap, but nothing has been decided at this time.
