The minister wrote on Facebook that the project to renovate and protect the Pallangattuchira kirkulam in Trithala’s Kapoor panchayat has received administrative permission. The minister said that the minister of water resources department, Roshi Augustine, called and informed that he had signed the file regarding this. Minister MB Rajesh’s promise to the people that the dam, which was in a dilapidated state, would be renovated and made beneficial for the country, is now being fulfilled and Tritala is moving towards better development achievements, the minister said.

We are sharing the joy of one more promise made to the trithalas during the election coming true. The project to renovate and preserve Pallangattuchira Khirulam in Kapoor Panchayat has received administrative approval. Roshi Augustine, Minister of Water Resources Department, informed by phone that he has signed the file regarding this. This pond was visited on March 22, 2021 water day during elections. The pond, which was depended on by the local farmers and public, was in a dilapidated condition. The assurance given to the people then that the pond will be renovated and made beneficial for the country is being implemented now. 84 lakhs had been allocated in the state budget for the year 2023-24 for the project. As the water in the pond dries up, the work is expected to start in February and be completed by May.
As a part of ‘Susthira Trithala’, the renovation of Kirkululam will be an important step towards the conservation of wetlands in the constituency. The Khirulam in Pallangatchira is a place where water was pumped to paddy fields for agricultural purposes. With the renovation of the pond, the people of Pallangatchira will have facilities for farming and bathing in the pond. Another long-standing demand of Trithala is coming to fruition. Tritala is leaping towards greater developmental achievements.
