His Majesty King Mohammed VI gives his High Instructions to ensure the repatriation of Moroccan nationals.
“Following recent events in the Republic of Sudan and the deterioration of the security situation in this brotherly country, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify him, has given His High Instructions to ensure the repatriation of Moroccan nationals of this country,” according to the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, given to the media on April 24.
In a first phase, the services of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Sudan organized a land caravan from the capital Khartoum to the city of Port-Sudan, in favor of 200 Moroccan nationals established in Sudan whose presence in this country coincided with this difficult internal situation, adds the ministry, specifying that this land caravan arrived this Monday evening in complete safety in the city of Port-Sudan.
Also, the Cherifian King also gave His High Instructions for the organization of an airlift in coordination with Royal Air Maroc; to ensure the repatriation of Moroccan nationals and their families in the best conditions.
