On Friday followingnoon, an individual was arrested while trying to steal telephone cables and chargers from the Colruyt store in Herstal located on boulevard Zénobe Gramme. The man was arrested at the scene. He had already been arrested on Tuesday August 1 and Wednesday August 2 for the same kind of offences, once more the theft of multimedia equipment, and once more to the detriment of the same Colruyt t store. The suspect admitted the facts without making any difficulty. He returned the stolen equipment on Friday. He then explained that he resold small multimedia objects in order to be able to finance his addiction to cocaine.
Saturday, following spending a night in a cell, the suspect was brought to the Liège courthouse. There, the magistrate on duty for the prosecution put the file to the instruction by claiming an arrest warrant. The suspect is well known to justice for the same kind of facts. His criminal record turned out, in fact, to be as long as a day without bread.
