To support early intervention among 18-30 year olds, Repère raises awareness, informs and trains the youth environment.

Repère (for “Early assessment and rehabilitation network”) is a sectoral system which aims to improve the early detection of psychological disorders, in particular emerging psychosis, for 18-30 year olds. Located within the Erasme public health establishment (Antony, Hauts-de-Seine), it was designed as “the missing link” in the Early Intervention in Psychiatry Network (FIPP). It aims to train and coordinate a network of front-line partners, encompassing all stakeholders in the health and life journey, in particular professionals in primary care, educational and medico-social sectors, in the city, etc., so that they are able to:
– to identify psychological disorders early and refer them for care;
– to support the autonomy and social and professional integration of the young people concerned, to strengthen the implementation of the overall recovery project.

In practice, it involves developing different tools to raise awareness and destigmatize these disorders. The Repère program includes different levels of intervention:
– awareness sessions aimed at the general population (including young people and parents);
– information sessions for local actors in contact with young people, the “sentinels” (National Education, educators, youth spaces, etc.);
– training for local health professionals (general practitioners, psychologists, private psychiatrists, medico-social partners, etc.).

All of these interventions revolve around information media which describes the risk of occurrence of psychological disorders from a favorable prognostic angle, thanks to the vulnerability-stress-skills model. This multimedia support, available gradually in terms of complexity depending on the audience, presents the signs that should alert you, the protective factors and describes the network of professionals to contact in case of concern.
Despite the desire to apply international recommendations in early intervention, numerous obstacles block practice in daily life (stigma of psychiatry and disorders, difficulties in identifying actors, etc.). In this context, Repère aims to be a very concrete and positive tool, to “reach out” to the population, mobilize and train in the young person’s environment all the people likely to contribute to this prevention.
