“Reproductive Health and its Importance for Mother and Child Health” in an educational symposium at “Nursing in Tanta”

The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Nursing at Tanta University organized an educational symposium entitled “Reproductive Health and its Importance for Mother and Child Health”, attended by Dr. Abdel Nasser Hamida, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Gharbia.

Dr. Hamdi Shaaban, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, said that the symposium comes within the framework of the university’s celebrations of its golden jubilee, under the generous patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Dr. Mahmoud Zaki, President of the University, within the framework of joint cooperation between Tanta University and the General Authority. For inquiries, headed by Dr. Diaa Rashwan, under the supervision of Dr. Afaf Basal, Dean of the College, and Amr Mahsoub Al-Nabi, Head of the Internal Media Sector at the authority.

Dr. Afaf Basal, Dean of the College of Nursing, stressed the importance of educating female students of this age about such topics, noting that the symposium aims to spread the concepts of reproductive health, raise awareness of different groups of society, educate them and urge them to adopt correct practices that benefit them in the field of reproductive health.

For his part, Dr. Abdel Nasser Hamida, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Gharbia, praised the state’s role in spreading health awareness among women, introducing reproductive health services provided by health units, how to benefit from them, and educating them to reduce the increasing rates of population growth and its negative consequences.

The symposium was attended by Dr. Umm Ibrahim Al-Saei, Undersecretary of the College of Nursing for Community Service Affairs, Samir Muhanna, Undersecretary for Media in the Central and Eastern Delta, Azza Al-Qazzaz, Director of the Health Media Department at the Health Directorate, Azza Sorour, General Director of Media in the Central Delta, and Ayman Mahmoud, Health Media Officer in the Health Directorate, And a number of faculty, staff and students.

At the end of the symposium, the Vice President and Dean of the College presented certificates of thanks and appreciation to Dr. Abdel Nasser Hamida, Samir Muhanna, Azza Al Qazzaz, Azza Sorour, and Ayman Mahmoud.
