Today, Monday, the Tanta Media Center of the State Information Service, in cooperation with the Directorate of Health in Gharbia, organized a symposium entitled “Reproductive health and its importance to the individual and society”, at the Seger Medical Center in Tanta, within the framework of the media campaign to raise awareness of the population problem, under the slogan “Your happiness and health in Organize Your Family” organized by the State Information Service to raise awareness of the importance of family planning and community development.
The meeting was attended by Ayman Mahmoud, Information Officer at the Directorate of Health in Gharbia, and Dr. Salwa Shawqi, Director General of Family Planning in the Directorate of Health in Gharbia, attended the meeting. The symposium revolved around several points, the most important of which is what is meant by family planning, which is the spacing of pregnancy between the child and the other child, not birth control. Then she explained the importance of family planning, which is the restoration of the mother’s health and the enjoyment of the child’s full rights, as well as the protection of the mother and the child from diseases, such as anemia. She then reviewed the examination before marriage in detail about family planning methods, including single injections, capsules and hormone strips.
Shawky explained how to use family planning methods, and during her speech, she stressed the importance of family planning methods on the health of the mother. On a related level, and in light of the Authority’s awareness, educational and enlightening role, the Tanta Media Center organized a symposium entitled “The Importance of Water Rationalization in Achieving Development in Egypt,” in cooperation with the Tanta City and Council, under the leadership and supervision of Counselor Amr Mahsoub Al-Nabi, First Undersecretary of the Ministry. Media and head of the internal media sector at the State Information Service.
