PDI detectives managed to rescue two canines that were suffering animal abuse in Quilicura. At the same time the person in charge of these was arrested for said flagrant crime.
This case was made viral on Instagram by the Supercan Foundation, who shared crude images in which you can see the poor conditions in which they lived.
According to what they indicated, this would have been happening for more than a year. And they even shared videos showing how one of the dogs suffered a massive attack from the other dogs, as well as another where one dog eats another.
“There has been a complaint for a year against him (owner), There is a previous cause where the person involved is formalized“, they noted in the post.
Commissioner Francisco Valdenegro, of the Investigative Brigade of Crimes Against Public Health and the Environment (BRIDESMA), indicated that specialized personnel verified the health status of 6 dogs.
“This person was arrested for crime of flagrant animal abuse by omission. Furthermore, it should be noted that this person already had a current arrest warrant for the same crime,” he explained.
And he added that “by keeping an aggressive and dominant animal, he caused a serious injury to another canine, corresponding to this other hematoma, which already had a date of more than 24 hours”. Therefore, the aforementioned crime was committed, since he did not provide the corresponding veterinary care.
The two rescued dogs were referred to a veterinary clinic for recovery and relocation.
