Are there still more flights carrying our tourists?[기자]That’s right.

Around 8:54 this evening, a Jin Air flight departing from Guam arrived here at Incheon International Airport.

It appeared a little while ago through Incheon International Airport Terminal 1.

A little while ago at 9:28 p.m., a Jeju Air flight arrived here at Incheon International Airport.

A little later, I’m going to reveal myself through the gate behind me.

There are a total of 5 flights from Guam to Korea today, and the Korean Air flight will arrive at 10:45 pm a little later.

Families waiting for tourists returning from Guam were anxiously pacing the arrivals hall all the time.

Let’s hear your own voice.

Earlier, Guam Airport, which had been working to restore the runway damaged by Typhoon Mawar, resumed operations from 2:00 pm our time.

Accordingly, our national airlines also sent 11 aircraft to Guam today to transport our stranded travelers.

As the Guam airport is temporarily closed, it is estimated that about 3,400 tourists are stranded in Korea.

The government expects that it will be able to transport 2,500 travelers with the introduction of flights today.

Starting with a Korean Air flight arriving at Incheon International Airport at 3:45 am tomorrow, a total of 9 cars will pick up our tourists and set foot on Korean soil.

However, it seems that it will take about three more days for all the remaining travelers to return to Korea.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which dispatched a rapid response team consisting of six Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff to Guam today, plans to assist Korean nationals with departure procedures and respond to emergency patients.

In the midst of this, Jeju Air texted some passengers who had booked a flight scheduled to depart from Guam Airport at 3:05 am tomorrow, asking them to use the flight departing at 5:10 pm.

Jeju Air said it tried to prepare additional flights for quick transportation, but the departure was delayed because there were more passengers than expected and there were not enough seats left.

Travelers who originally booked a regularly scheduled flight at 3:05 am and received a confirmation text message can head to the airport and board the flight they have booked.
