Rescued lifeless person from Almkanal

A police officer is said to have pulled a lifeless person out of the Alm Canal.

A lifeless person was rescued from the Alm Canal during a rescue operation on Saturday around 1 p.m. According to initial information, a police officer jumped into the water and rescued the person. Subsequent attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful. The Salzburg police confirmed the operation, but did not provide any further information for tactical reasons. The identity of the person is currently unknown. An autopsy of the body had been ordered by the public prosecutor.
