Le Charlevoisien has learned that an agreement in principle has been reached between the Clermont paper workers’ union and Resolute Forest Products.
The factory’s 115 workers will vote starting this evening. Voting will continue tomorrow morning.
They have been without an employment contract since May 1.
CSN union members have resorted to pressure tactics in recent months.
The salary question was at the heart of the discussions.
